The
Vardar U16 girls participated in the 2006 Orange
Classic tournament in Ft. Lauderdale between the
27th and the 30th of January. The girls had a
very successful tournament as they advanced to
the final before losing 2-1 in a very close
contest to Team Boca.
In pool play the girls defeated NASA Premier,
tied Dallas Texans, and Defeated Westside United
Fury 2-1 to top the group. In the semi-final the
16s defeated the Weston Fury 1-0 to advance to
the final.
This prestigious event caps
off a successful season which saw the girls win
the Midwest Regional League 1st Division and
gain promotion to the U17 Premier Division. We
congratulate all the girls on a job well done
and wish them luck in their upcoming high school
season.
